Douarnenez : an outstanding maritime setting
The town opens out onto a vast and safe bay. The entire part of its coast is a wild and a preserved area of fifty kilometres between the Raz de Sein and The Cap de la Chèvre. Around the town, four ports are organised :
The former Port of Rosmeur, still in use for coastal fishing and sailing
The modern port with big trawlers, long-line boats and Mauritanian langoustine fishing boats.
The coastal fishing and sailing port of Tréboul.
The Port-Rhu, a former coastal navigation port turned into a museum.
Our restaurants welcome you :
Their tables are famous for their seafood, including oysters and shellfish, but you can also discover the thousands of flavours from our area with our wheat and buckwheat crepes.
